my autonomy is a barrier to employment

I am a co-founding member of tbC, a thirteen-year-old artist-run initiative based in suburban Melbourne, Australia. tbC is an egalitarian, self-governing collaborative art space. The autonomy that defines this arts model has granted me life-changing freedoms, opportunities and experiences - ones I am reluctant to give up. However, tbC is coming to a natural conclusion, and I am looking for new creative employment. The problem is employers are often wary, even intimidated, by this autonomous work history.
